US Ambassador to Lebanon, Elizabeth Richard, on Tuesday visited Tripoli and North Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, and met with its Chairman Tawfiq Daboussi, in the presence of Chamber senior officials.
Ambassador Richard was accompanied by US Embassy Economic and Commercial Attache Reaz Mehdi and a delegation of the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
Daboussi briefed the US delegation on feasibility studies prepared by experts and specialists pertaining to major investment projects, which open wide horizons in front of the launch of international investment workshops, as per a statement by the Chamber.
The visit was also a chance to brief the US delegation on the series of projects launched by the Chamber.
The US ambassador and her accompanying delegation then toured "IDRAK" Research & Development Center and its various affiliated centers, whose infrastructure and technology were established in partnership with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Project for Developing Productive Sectors in Lebanon.
