BAGHDAD, Vice President Osama al-Nujaifi stressed the importance of relations with Jordan, praising the historical interdependence that characterizes the relationship between them.
During a meeting with Jordanian Ambassador Montasser Jafar al-Zu'bi on Thursday, Al-Nujaifi said that Iraq had emerged from a tough battle after the victory over Daesh terrorist organization, but the challenges still remain, necessitating cooperation for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
On the Jordanian Ambassador's offer on the economic integration and the exceptional importance of the economic road line and the importance of establishing the oil pipeline for the export of Iraqi oil, Nujaifi affirmed that he supports any development in relations with Jordan. And the land line and the oil link are important in activating the economic movement for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries. "
In discussing the regional situation and the convening of the Arab Summit, Nujaifi according to the statement, pointed to "the hope that the conference will be an occasion to activate the Arab effort and extend the reasons for success and attendance."
For his part, the Jordanian ambassador stressed that he puts his effort and experience to help Iraq and build advanced relations between the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them as well as the political and regional situation.
