Marking the anniversary of the civil war, Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, stressed that all the Lebanese must draw a lesson from 'April 13' that Lebanon's civil peace and national unity constitute a red line.
Speaker Berri welcomed at his Mseileh residence Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East Yohanna X Yazigi, with talks reportedly touching on affairs related to Lebanon and the broad region.
On emerging, Patriarch Yazigi categorically deplored the recent statements by the US president regarding a strike on Syria, saying he pushes for a peaceful solution in Syria, Lebanon and the entire region.
He urged national unity in Lebanon, Syria and the region as a whole, hoping that Lebanon's forthcoming parliamentary elections would be staged successfully and peacefully.
Berri also met with former MP Nasser Qandil, with talks reportedly touching on most recent developments in Lebanon and the broad region.
