Jubouri to German Minister: Iraq Looks Forward To The Contribution Of Friendly Countries

BAGHDAD, IRAQ Iraq is looking forward to the contribution of all friendly countries, including Germany, in supporting the process of building and development, which will be the title of the next stage, the speaker of parliament Salim al-Jubouri said.

Al-Jubouri, during his meeting with the German Minister of Development and Economic Cooperation Gerd Mueller called for "active participation in the reconstruction of Iraq, especially for cities affected by terrorism, through investments and in all fields and benefiting from the expertise of German companies in particular."

He said that "parliament has made a great effort to overcome all obstacles to the advancement of economic and industrial realities and stimulate them through the adoption of laws and legislation that serve the Iraqi citizen and the interest of the country's top interest," praising the role of Germany in supporting Iraq in its war against terrorism, stressing Iraq's keenness to expand the prospects for cooperation on all levels.

For his part, Gerd Muller stressed the keenness of the German government to deepen the relations of cooperation with Iraq and on all levels.

The two sides discussed means of developing bilateral relations between the two countries to ensure the common interests of the two friendly peoples. The meeting also reviewed the political and security situation at the local and regional levels. The meeting also discussed the issue of reconstruction and foreign investments in Iraq.
