BAGHDAD, A senior South Korean delegation will visit Baghdad on Thursday to discuss joint cooperation in reconstruction and investment in Iraq.

A source at the South Korean Embassy in Baghdad told NINA that the delegation is headed by the Korean Deputy Foreign Minister for Middle East and North Africa, and includes a number of government officials and representatives of Korean international companies, noting that the delegation will meet with a number of officials in ministries of Foreign Affairs, Electricity, Oil and Housing, to discuss the possibility of Korean companies to enter investment and reconstruction in Iraq more broadly in the next stage, especially after the liberation of Iraqi territory from Daesh.

The source said that "Korea has a tendency to participate in the reconstruction of the liberated areas, through the Korean companies seeking to work in Iraq, noting that a number of Korean companies are currently operating in the refinery of Karbala and the housing complex of Basmaya, and a Korean company will establish a link Between Baghdad and Basmaya complex soon. "
