Maysan, Maysan governor, Ali Douai discussed with the Turkish Ambassador in Iraq Fatih Yildiz the water file and encourage Turks investors to invest in Iraq, demanding the Turkish side to take into account the damage caused to the southern provinces because of water scarcity.
The governor gave a detailed explanation on the progress of the construction and investment in the province and ideas to develop relations between the two sides. He also called for including Maysan province with the Turkish loan provided by Turkey to Iraq during the Kuwait Conference and other loans in the future.
The two sides discussed the support of the University of Maysan through cooperation with Turkish universities and inviting Turkish companies to invest in Maysan, especially in the industrial sector where there is an industrial city in Omara of 4000 Acres in addition to the agriculture,.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador said during the meeting that the province of Maysan of the important provinces and the best in Iraq at the level of ages and investment expressed Turkey's willingness to open prospects for economic cooperation, trade and technical projects and encourage Turkish investors to invest in Maysan, indicating the possibility of establishing some service projects and capacity development through the ( TEKA) agency of the Turkish government
