BAGHDAD, The armed wing of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) announced the killing of seven Turkish soldiers in operations against the Turkish army in Lillikan and Barzan regions of the Kurdistan region and Gli region of the city of Gulmerk in Kurdistan, Turkey.
The PKK said in a statement issued by its media center that "on the twenty-eighth of April, its forces carried out an operation against the positions of the Turkish army on Shondar hill of Gli area in the city of Gulmerk in Kurdistan, and could not ascertain the number of dead and wounded.
It added, On April 29, its forces carried out an operation in Tel Lillikan area against Turkish troops, but it was also unable to figure out the exact number of dead and wounded in the Turkish army.
The Popular Defense Forces (PDF) said another operation was carried out in Tel Lillikan and a soldier from the Turkish army was killed.
The statement said that on April 30, the Popular Defense Forces (PDF) tracked a special military unit of the Turkish army near Tal Bayrak in Barzan district, killing three Turkish soldiers.
Three Turkish soldiers were killed and four others were injured in an operation carried out by the Popular Defense Forces against a Turkish military unit in Tabi Sour area on April 26, the statement said.
