Al-Abadi: Iraq has the potential to qualify for rising in a short period of time

Baghdad - Prime Minister Haider Abadi said that Iraq has the potential to qualify for rising in a short period of time.

In his speech at the 6th International Scientific Conference on Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials and Applications, Al-Abadi said that the conference will take place at the appropriate time as the country moves towards building, rebuilding and developing the economy, industries and energy.

He called for "scientific research to touch the need of Iraqis in all fields of agriculture, industry, oil, energy, security and others."

"He called for the importance of the integration of technological and scientific aspects and the reduction of scientific research to be applied on the ground."

He stressed the issuance of an order to form a Higher Committee to search for alternative economy and the transition from dependence on oil to other alternatives, he said, pointing to the need for scientific research in order to be in the front in this aspect."

He pointed out that "the world began to look to Iraq as a positive look after it was seen a different view as a result of wars , siege and terrorism."

"It is important to protect the victory that has been achieved and to build on this victory another victory that is the victory of construction and reconstruction, because we can combine our efforts to make a significant shift in our scientific and economic status, and to provide employment opportunities."

"With the determination of the Iraqis, the defeat has turned into a victory and a break-up to power and liberated one region after the other, to defeat Daesh and liberate the entire Iraqi territory, and also to seek the reconstruction of the country and the welfare of its sons.
