Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Beirut and its Suburbs, Archbishop Elias Audi, on Thursday received head of the INTERPOL Foundation, Elias Murr, with whom he discussed an array of regional and international issues, including the current situation of the Orthodox community in Lebanon.
On emerging, Murr hoped that the Orthodox community would be represented by the elite people who enjoy the finest expertise and competencies in the coming Parliament.
On the other hand, Archbishop Audi met with former Minister, Elias Bou Saab, accompanied by Mr Nichola Shammas.
Speaking in the wake of the meeting, Bou Saab stressed the need for the establishment of an Orthodox university in Beirut, hoping that the St George University establishment dossier would be approved soon by the Cabinet.
