Foreign Minister, Gebran Bassil, on Thursday issued a circular to heads of overseas diplomatic missions to allow expats who couldn't vote on April 27 and 29 due to an administrative shortcoming (like passport delivery problem) to vote on Sunday, May 6 elections in Lebanon.
This comes in line with the consultation of the Justice Ministry's Legislative and Advisory Body No. 224/3018 dated 3/5/2018.
In his circular, Bassil said that the lists of registered expats who did not receive their passports and thus could not participate in the elections abroad, will be sent to the Interior Ministry so as to add their names on the balloting lists in Lebanon.
