Mount Lebanon Governor, Judge Mohammad al-Makawi, announced in a phone interview with the National News Agency that the electoral process was running smoothly, without any significant problems.
"Logistical preparations are very good. The number of voters in Mount Lebanon is up to 40% in general, and this is an election limited to the staff that will be at polling stations on Sunday," Makawi added.
"This day is only reserved for elections. After elections, ballots will be transferred to the Lebanese Central Bank and preserved until next Sunday. They will be emptied in front of the registration committees and in the presence of the heads of polling stations at 7 p.m., and will be sorted after polling is completed on Sunday," he added.
