BAGHDAD, Iranian Revolutionary Court issued on Sunday a death sentence for eight people accused of joining Daesh and carrying out terrorist attacks in the country last year.
According to the Iranian radio and television website, "the court issued its verdict against the eight accused by accusing them of " Daesh " organization and carrying out terrorist attacks targeting the Iranian parliament building and Khomeini's shrine on June 7 last year.
The Revolutionary Court in Tehran began trial of the group accused of participating in the attacks that led to the deaths of 18 people, and the first deadly operation carried out by Daesh in Iran.
Tehran said at the time that the attackers had been trained in Daesh strongholds in Syria and Iraq.
