Geagea voices rejection of displaced Syrians’ settlement in Lebanon

Lebanese Forces leader, Samir Geagea, sternly rejected, in a statement on Tuesday, any plan allowing the settlement of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon, whether provisionally or permanently.

"Lebanon is not a land without people; we flatly reject any step towards keeping the displaced Syrians in Lebanon, even temporarily," Geagea said in response to "some unsound western positions."

He continued that the next government's foremost mission would be to devise a clear plan on the Syrians' return to the war-free zones next door.
