Cairo, The Arab foreign ministers council authorized the Secretariat General of the Arab League to draw a comprehensive plan to confront the US decision recognizing Al-Quds as capital of Israel, or even a similar decision to be taken by any other country to recognize Al-Quds as capital of Israel or move its embassy to it, including political, legal and economic means and circulate the plan over the AL member states within two weeks from the date of this decision.
The came at the conclusion of today's meeting held in Cairo under the chairmanship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Arab foreign ministers also assigned the secretariat general to form an independent expert-level committee to launch an investigation into the crimes and atrocities committed by the Israeli occupation against demonstrators in Gaza strip.
The council reiterated its considering the US decision to move its embassy to Al-Quds as null and void, demanding the US to rescind the decision, considering it a dangerous precedent on the international consensus on the status of the holy city and a flagrant breach of the international law.
The ministers considered the coincidence of this decision with the anniversary of Al-Nakba, the establishment of Israel over the remnants of Palestine, as provocative to Arab and Muslims feelings.
They condemned the decision of Guatemala to follow the American suit.
