Saudi Customs Prevent Entry of over 363 Non-Conformed Electrical Products to National Standards

Riyadh, Saudi Customs, in collaboration with other related governmental bodies, has prevented entry for more than 363.3 thousand electrical appliances relating to energy efficiency, during the period 1 January to 30 April, in 2018, for non-conformity to the Saudi established standards.

These appliances included air conditioning, refrigerators, lights, motors and frameworks, for non-conformity to the mandatory Saudi standards and measurements of energy efficiency.

Saudi customs, in collaboration with ministries of commerce, energy and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Commission, vows to be vigilant, in order not to allow entry of appliances that consume a lot of energy, into the Kingdom.
