The Arabs and Turkmen in Kirkuk demand that the UN press the Electoral Commission to adopt manual counting

Kirkuk, Thousands of Arabs and Turkmen gathered in front of stores of ballot boxes collection for the second week in a row, demanding the adoption of the manual counting of the ballot boxes in Kirkuk.

The protesters called for the intervention of the United Nations and international organizations to pressure the Electoral Commission to adopt the counting and sorting by hand after the existence of rigging and falsification of the Kirkuk elections, and referral of the Office of Kirkuk of the Electoral Commission for the judiciary after proven tampering and shortening.

The demonstrators accused the Electoral Commission of neglecting the demands of the Arabs and Turkmen for 13 days and their demonstrations and peaceful sit-ins were under the protection of the anti-terrorism forces and Kirkuk police.
