Caretaker Minister of National Defense, Yaacoub Sarraf, on Tuesday held talks with a delegation of the French administration comprising representatives of the French ministries of defense, finance, and foreign affairs.
The meeting reportedly touched on the means to bolster the Lebanese-French bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of military and defense.
Conferees also dwelt on the Lebanese army needs and the aid pledged by France at the Rome II conference.
Sarraf later met with Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Beirut, Christophe Martin, with whom he discussed the condition of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon.
Martin presented to Sarraf a study on the refugees' situation in the region, in addition to data the ICRC owns on the case of the disappeared people in Lebanon.
