Japanese ambassador inspects housing restoration work in Ain Hilweh camp

Japanese Ambassador to Lebanon, Atahiro Yamagouchi, on Wednesday visited the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh, to inspect the restoration and reconstruction works of homes damaged in the camp's neighborhood of Al-Tiri due to the clashes that took place there last April and August.

Ambassador Yamagouchi was accompanied by UNRWA Director General Claudio Cordoni

The Japanese government donated three million US dollars for the repair of damaged houses in Tiri and its neighborhood.

The diplomat arrived at 11 am in the City of Sidon, where he patronized the ceremony held at the Municipality of Sidon to announce the project for the urgent restoration of damaged homes in Ain Hilweh camp, funded by the Japanese people, at the invitation of UNRWA and the "Development without Borders, a Source" Association.
