Baghdad, Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri stressed that the parliament is keen to correct the electoral process in accordance with the Constitution.
Jubouri said during his meeting with British Ambassador to Iraq John Wilkes, that: Parliament is striving to correct the electoral process by resorting to legal and constitutional methods that ensure the voter's right, adding that the political blocs are working hard to get a clear vision of the form of the next government, which we seek to represent all without exception. "
During the meeting, they discussed the most important political and security developments in Iraq and the region, and means of enhancing relations between the two friendly countries. The meeting discussed the formation of the next government and the efforts of the political forces in this regard.
For his part, John Wilkes confirmed the support of his government to Iraq, praising the role of Speaker of Parliament in strengthening the democratic process in the country.
