Marada Movement head, Sleiman Frangieh, on Thursday received at his Bnachai residence, Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, with talks between the pair reportedly touching on most recent developments on the local and regional arena.
Franjieh also met with Chairman of the Alawite Islamic Council, Sheikh Mohammed Asfour, on top of a delegation of the Council.
Discussions touched on the general situation in the country, notably in the North.
On emerging, Asfour said that they raised with Franjieh the concerns and rights of the Alawite community in Lebanon, expressing hope that the Alwaite sect would be represented in the new Cabinet.
Franjieh then met with MP Ali Darwish, with whom he reviewed the overall situation.
