House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Friday received at his Ain Tineh residence, MP Bahia Hariri, with talks reportedly touching on the general situation.
Speaker Berri also met with President of the General Maronite Council, former Minister Wadih Khazen, with whom he discussed the latest developments in terms of the new government formation.
On emerging, Khazen quoted Berri as saying that the inevitability of forming a new government has become an urgent necessity to face the pressing socio-economic challenges.
Khazen also quoted Berri as deeming the current relationship between the three presidents as "at its best" notably with the existence of full coordination amongst them over national causes, most recently the issue of the delimitation of Lebanon's land and maritime borders.
On the other hand, Berri received a cable from US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, wishing him a blessed Fitr Eid.
