BAGHDAD, A member of the former House of Representatives from the state of law coalition, Ali al-Maliki affirmed that "the future discussions and consultations of the political blocs will determine their orientation towards the formation of the largest bloc."
Maliki told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that "after announcing the end of manual counting and sorting by the assigned judges of the Electoral Commission and near the announcement of the final results of the elections, the next period will be important and decisive in the talks of the winning blocs towards making allies and forming the largest bloc."
He added "the agreement on forming the largest bloc is important, especially before the first session of the new parliament in order to proceed with the rest of the procedures according to constitutional timings without delay to serve the political process and the democratic process in the country."
The Electoral Commission announced yesterday the end of the manual counting and sorting officially after the cancellation of conducting it in Rusafa office.
