Baquba, The judicial authorities released the director of Jalawla district in Diyala province three months after voluntarily surrendering to the security forces because of judicial proceedings against him.
A local source in Diyala told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the judicial authorities issued a judicial decision to release Yacoub Mala Ali, director of Jalawla district northeast of Baquba, three months after he surrendered to the security services because of the charges against him.
The source, who asked not to be named, said that the decision to release the director of the district of Jalawla came after the plaintiffs filed a formal waiver before the judicial authorities for their legal rights.
The residents of the destroyed neighborhoods in the area of Jalawla filed lawsuits against the director of the province on charges of bulldozing their areas when Daesh controlled some areas of Diyala in 2014.
