Member of Parliament, Mario Aoun, on Friday stressed the Free Patriotic Movement's keenness on re-establishing relations with Syria for the best interest of the Lebanese people and economy.
However, interviewed by the Voice of Lebanon radio station, the lawmaker ruled out claims that rekindling relations with Syria was one of the conditions to form a new cabinet, dismissing all what is being said about this matter as "unnecessary excuses".
As for the cabinet lineup, MP Aoun said that there was nothing new about this process, "which means that there is no close cabinet birth; nothing in the horizon suggests this."
He blamed formation stalling on some political sides who were clinging to their petty interests whilst refusing to make any sacrifices.
