BAGHDAD, Spokesman for the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Saadi Ahmed Perah said that the Patriotic Union and the Kurdistan Democratic agreed at the conclusion of their meeting in the city of Arbil to form a joint delegation to visit Baghdad on Friday.
The Kurdish official said according to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan that "the two parties did not coalition or form any Kurdish bloc with the Iraqi blocs, and that the Patriotic Union did not support any Iraqi bloc."
On the elections, he explained that there has not been any change so far on the date of holding elections to the Parliament of Kurdistan will be held on schedule.
"They are trying to bring the situation in Kirkuk back to normal so that all the components can live together in the city," he said.
For his part, Spokesman for the Democratic Party Mahmoud Mohammed said that the parties discussed during the meeting the formation of the new Iraqi government and decided to visit Baghdad on Friday with a joint delegation.
According to the website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Kusrat Rasul Ali Deputy Secretary-General of the National Union will head the delegation of PUK to Baghdad, while Nechirvan Barzani will head the delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic.
