House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Tuesday met at his Ain Tineh residence with Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister, Ghassan Hasbani, with talks reportedly touching on the general situation and a range of health issues.
On emerging, Minister Hasbani described the meeting with Speaker Beri as "constructive and fruitful" bearing on an array of hour issues and stringent socio-economic and daily living conditions of citizens.
Hasbani briefed the Minister on the latest developments in the health sector and related legislations currently at the table of parliamentary committees.
The Minister also hoped the birth of a new Cabinet soon to contribute to furthering socio-economic and monetary stability towards a new stage of growth and advancement.
On the other hand, Speaker Berri welcomed Austrian Foreign Minister, Karin Kneissl, with whom he discusses the bilateral ties and the current situation in Lebanon and the broad region.
Later, Berri received the World Bank's Regional Director Saroj Kumar Jha, with talks touching on the current economic and financial situation and cooperation between Lebanon and the World Bank.
The Speaker also received Mahatma Gandhi's grandson Aaron Gandhi.
