Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, met at his Ain-el-Tineh residence on Thursday, with a delegation of the Defence Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, led by Gianluca Rizzo, over the current regional situation and the bilateral ties.
The visiting delegation confirmed "Italy's support for Lebanon and the work on enhancing cooperation between the two countries."
Berri later welcomed a British parliamentary delegation from the Conservative Middle Eastern Council (CMEC), headed by Sir Hugo Swire, in presence of MP Yassine Jaber.
Talks touched on the bilateral relations and the parliamentary cooperation between Lebanon and the UK.
The Speaker also met today with the European Union Ambassador to Lebanon, Christina Lassen, over the latest developments.
Berri lastly received a delegation of Human Rights Watch, chaired by the organization's Executive Director Kenneth Roth.
