Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Youssef Fenianos, met on Thursday with a high-ranking World Bank delegation, with whom he discussed projects involving the development and activation of the transport sector in Lebanon, especially those financed by the World Bank.
The meeting took place in presence of Jose Luis Irigoyen, the Senior Director of the World Bank's Transport and Information and Communications Technologies Global, Director of Transportation projects in Lebanon, Ziad Nikat, and other concerned officials.
Fenianous briefed his audience on the number of proposals and vital projects that could be implemented through the World Bank's support and contribution. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the Director General of Joint Transport, and the ongoing cooperation and coordination with the World Bank to activate the joint transport sector.
For its part, the WB delegation expressed full readiness to "follow up on the topics that had been raised during the meeting."
