BAGHDAD, President Barham Saleh discussed with the President of the Supreme Islamic Council Hammam Hamoudi, the latest political developments in the country and the formation of the next government.
"Hamoudi met with President Barham Saleh at his office today," a statement from the office of the president of the Supreme Council said.
During the meeting, Hamoudi made an official invitation to Barham Saleh to attend the celebration held by the Supreme Council on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of its founding.
The statement pointed out that "the two sides discussed the latest political developments in the country and the subject of forming a government capable of meeting the needs and aspirations of the Iraqi people and fighting corruption and the promotion of economic and service, security and cultural."
