Southern Parts of KSA, May be affected by Laban Hurricane, as it Phases into Storm

Jeddah, Orbital situation, at the Arabian Sea, which is located, at 14.7 degrees of the North latitude and 57.4 degrees East longitude, is closely monitored by the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection.

Its classification today has been reduced from tropical cyclone to a tropical storm, 115-95 km/h and moving, at a speed of (08) km/h towards the northwest, forecasting that out of analyzing numerical model outputs and observing the latest satellite images, it has noted that Najran Region (Kharkhir - Sharurah - Najran) and the Southern parts of the Empty Quarter desert, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), may be affected by moderate thunderstorms, accompanied by active winds of dust, from Saturday until Monday, while the impact is expected to reach the regions of Jazan and Assir, respectively, on Monday.

The forecast predicted that this situation will contribute to the amount of water vapor in the upper layers of the atmosphere, and may cause a rainy state expected to some areas of the Kingdom, during the next week, confirming that they will be mentioned on the evening of next Sunday.
