Austrian Ambassador to Lebanon, Marian Werba, stressed during an annual dinner banquet for the "Right to Live" Association on Saturday, the importance of Lebanon as a model of peaceful coexistence between Christians and Muslims.
"Developments in recent years have demonstrated that Lebanon is an exemplary model of coexistence, in which religions and beliefs can coexist through dialogue," Werba told attendees.
Stressing that human rights are a common value among all countries and cultures, the diplomat said, "Austria is committed to fully respect human rights at the national and international levels."
Finally, Werba commended the Lebanese hospitality and generosity in hosting Syrian refugees in large numbers.
