Former President, Amine Gemayel, met Sunday at his Bekfaya residence with British Ambassador to Lebanon, Chris Rampling, with talks touching on most recent political developments.
"The meeting was an occasion to listen to his viewpoints on an array of matters and to discuss the situation in the region," Rampling said on emerging.
"Britain is very proud of what it has done to support Lebanon in the recent years, as we have supported Lebanon with $ 200 million," he added.
Touching on the lengthily awaited Lebanese cabinet, the diplomat hoped that "the Lebanese government will be formed as soon as possible."
Finally, Rampling expressed his country's full support for Lebanon's sovereignty, stability and prosperity.
