Hungaria, Lebanon sign agricultural agreement, launch Lebanese Cuisine Day

Caretaker Minister of Agriculture Ghazi Zeaiter held talks, in the Hungarian capital of Budapest, with his Hungarian counterpart Dr. Istvan Naj, in the context of activating relations between the two countries, especially in the agricultural field.

During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed touching on the agricultural sector. The two sides agreed to form a joint agricultural committee to develop this memorandum.

The Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Lebanese Embassy in Hungary, organized the day of Lebanese products and cuisine at the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture. This comes as a continuation of the talks held in November 2017 by Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil.

This day was characterized by the participation of a large number of Lebanese producers and representatives of trade unions, food factories and companies. The ministerial delegation was headed by Minister Zeaiter, and included representative of caretaker Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, ambassador Bilal Kabalan, and ranking dignitaries.
