Eight members of the PKK were killed by Turkish shelling of their positions in northern Iraq

BAGHDAD, The Turkish Air Force has killed eight members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) by shelling their positions in northern Iraq, the Turkish army said on Friday .

The Turkish Anatolia News Agency reported a statement by the Turkish Chief of Staff, saying that "the fighter planes bombed on Thursday the sites of the PKK" in the areas of: Sinat, Haftanin, Metina and Hakourk in northern Iraq.

"The operation led to the neutralization of 8 PKK elements and the destruction of their headquarters and shelters.
