BAGHDAD, Iraq and Jordan discussed ways to boost joint cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural field.
A statement by the Ministry of Agriculture said that its minister, Saleh al-Hassani met Jordanian Ambassador Montaser Aqlah al-Zu'bi at the ministry's headquarters and discussed enhancing the prospects of joint cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural field.
He stressed during the meeting "the readiness of the Ministry of Agriculture to expand cooperation with the Kingdom in the agricultural field, both vegetable and livestock, as well as exchange of experiences between the two sides."
Husseini pointed to "The depth of the historical and strategic relationship between Iraq and Jordan in all fields," calling on his Jordanian counterpart to visit Iraq to discuss the development of agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, the Jordanian Ambassador expressed his happiness with the continuous and fruitful cooperation and cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, praising the possibilities and capabilities available at the ministry to establish greater cooperation between the two countries in the current stage. He called on the Minister of Agriculture to visit the Kingdom of Jordan during the coming period.
