Baghdad, Qatar expressed its desire to open new horizons for cooperation with Iraq according to the mechanisms that will be agreed upon within the joint committees formed.
Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim met on Thursday with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdul Rahman al-Thani on the sidelines of the official visit of President Barham Saleh to Qatar to discuss a number of issues concerning the two brotherly countries.
Al-Hakim stressed the depth of Iraqi-Qatari relations and the importance of developing them to serve the interests of both peoples. The theme of entry visas, trade and investment in various sectors were one of the most important topics discussed by the two Ministers.
For his part, Sheikh Al Thani expressed the desire to open new horizons for cooperation between the two countries according to the mechanisms that will be agreed upon within the joint committees formed.
The two sides agreed on the continuous communication between the two countries in a way that strengthens relations and fulfills ambitions in a brotherly relationship and mutual respect.
