United Arab Emirates Economy Minister, Soltan Ben Saeed Al Mansouri, arrived this Thursday at the Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut to participate in the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit.
Minister Al Mansouri is accompanied by a delegation of the Ministry.
Caretaker Water and Energy Minister, Cesar Abi Khalil, welcomed him at the airport representing President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, in the presence of UAE Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi.
Ambassador Al Shamsi hailed the measures and procedures adopted for the success of the Summit.
Al-Mansouri, for his part, underlined the importance of the holding of the Summit in Lebanon for the consecration of its economic role.
The UAE Minister said they shall discuss the importance of the digital economy because of its importance at the level of electronic commerce and inter-commerce amongst the Arab countries.
He also underlined the significant UAE-Lebanese relations.
