On the sidelines of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri met with Head of the UAE delegation to the summit, Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, who said after the meeting: "Our meeting with Prime Minister Hariri was excellent. We focused on the areas of economic cooperation between the UAE and Lebanon, especially the strategy to attract investment to Lebanon, cooperate in capacity building and benefit from the experience of the UAE in the field of small and medium enterprises, in addition to cooperation and partnership in tourism, knowledge economy, innovation and the construction of areas for specialized industries, both in the UAE and Lebanon."
He added: "We also spoke about the development of logistics infrastructure, from ports, airports and shipping services in general, and how this supports trade between the two countries in particular and in the Arab region in general."
Hariri also met with Head of the Comoro Islands delegation, Foreign Minister Mohamed El Amin Souef, and discussed with him the situation in the Arab countries.
