BAGHDAD A member of the House of Representatives for the province of Nineveh Entisar al-Jubouri confirmed the existence of a parliamentary consensus on the removal of Governor Nawfal Al-Akoub and his deputies in the parliament's session on Sunday.
"What happened in Mosul last Thursday brought things to an end when the governor and his deputies took responsibility for what happened and other things that the province suffers from lack of services and delays in construction and reconstruction," she told NINA.
"The province and its sons are in dire need of rebuild what the terrorism destroyed and rehabilitating its infrastructure, which was devastated by the war against terrorists," Jubouri said.
The agenda of the session of the parliament today includes a vote to dismiss the governor of Nineveh and his deputies.
