Nineveh Police Command Announces The Number Of Bodies Recovered And Missing Persons In The Ferry Accident

Mosul, The number of victims of the ferry incident in Mosul reached 97 bodies and the number of missing persons, according to complaints filed by the police stations, reached 67, according to Colonel Mazen Abdullah al-Obeidi, media director of Nineveh police.

Al-Obeidi told the NINA that the police had statistics on the number of passengers on board the ferry, which amounted to 287 people were counted from one of the cameras monitoring the island of Umm al-Rubaieen as they climb on the ferry.

"We are still carrying out the exhumations and the civil defense teams are continuing to search for the sunken people across the Tigris River," he said.
