Cairo, Egypt's Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Kamal Madbouli received here today visiting Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha.
At the outset of the meeting, the prime minister noted the deep-rooted fraternal relations binding the two countries and their concerted effort to further enhance them in what serves the best ties for the benefit of the two peoples, citing the firm relations binding the leaderships of the two countries.
He expressed the gratitude of Egypt's government and people of the distinguished bilateral relations, citing Saudi Arabia's historical positions towards Egypt in different fields, expressing aspiration to upgrade these relations to full-fledged horizons and lauding the Saudi achievements in different fields.
For his part, Al-Sawaha confirmed the depth of relations linking the two countries in all fields, noting the efforts of the two countries' ministries of communications and information technology to enhance joint cooperation which would contribute to building a strong digital consortium to enrich the digital exchange between the two countries.
He lauded Egypt's pioneering technological institutions which have successfully fed the Egyptian market, particularly the C and IT sector, with the needed qualified cadres.
He expressed readiness of the Kingdom to cooperate with Egypt in all fields, especially the C and IT field, and increase the size of the technological investments between the two countries through joint investment projects.
They discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of communications and information technology as well as issues of common interest.
