Foreign Minister heads to Jordan

BAGHDAD Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim headed to the Jordanian capital Amman accompanied by the head of the Investment Authority.

"The purpose of the visit is to participate in the quadripartite meeting between Iraq, Jordan, Greece and Cyprus at the level of Foreign Ministers to discuss the mechanisms of new trade and tourism investments," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmad al-Sahaf said in a statement.

He added that "this meeting is consistent with the aspiration of the Iraqi government to become a regional center for investment convergence of the regional economic forces, in light of the investment and commercial assets, and promising large opportunities.
