Jeddah, The Secretary General of the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen congratulated the Islamic Ummah (nation) on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan 1440 H.
In a press release, Al-Othaimeen extended his felicitations to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HRH the Crown Prince and the Saudi people on the blessed occasion of Ramadan.
He also congratulated the Member Countries of the OIC, appealing to Allah to help all Ramadan worshippers perform an easy fasting and gain an accepted worshipping.
He also asked Allah to make this month a chance to bring about peace, end conflicts in the Islamic world, and spread fraternity and amicability in the Islamic world.
He called for more co-existence, tolerance and moderation among each other.
He urged non-Muslim countries to be endowed with the values of Islam and understand the true profile of its religion which has been marred by deviant groups of the Islamic world.
