Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants GebranBassil received this Tuesday the US Ambassador to Lebanon, Elizabeth Richard, with whom he reportedly discussed the overall situation and the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.
Bassil also met with British Foreign Policy Director Richard Moore, accompanied by British Ambassador Chris Rampling.
In the wake of the meeting, Moore said: "I am pleased to be in Lebanon again. We exchanged views with Minister Bassil on the developments in the region, and we discussed the issues of Iran and the Arab-Israeli conflict. We also tackled Lebanon's affairs and its economic prosperity, security and stability."
European Union Ambassador Christina Lassen also visited Minister Bassil today, discussing with him an array of topics.
On a different note, Minister Bassil received a copy of the credentials of the Ambassadors of Venezuela and Indonesia, in preparation for their subsequent submission to the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun.
