Madinah, International Council for Dates concluded its meetings here today.
It was concluded in the presence of the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdurrahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli and the participation of Ministers, Heads of delegations of the producing and importing countries for dates.
The final statement of the meeting confirmed the importance of dates as a strategic crop for arid and semi-arid regions and the importance of dates as a product of food, economic, social, environmental and cultural value.
The statement commended the role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arbia's government in activating the council for dates and its financial and moral support for activating it.
