The President of the Council of Ministers Saad Hariri met today at the Center House with the deputy diplomatic adviser to the French President Emmanuel Macron, Aurelien Lechevallier, in the presence of former Minister Ghattas Khoury. Discussions focused on the situation in Lebanon and the region and the bilateral relations.
Earlier, Hariri received the Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Wang Kejian, accompanied by an economic delegation from "China Energy Group" that works in the field of power plants.
After the meeting, Ambassador Kejian said: "We were honored to meet with Prime Minister Hariri. We congratulated him on the holy month of Ramadan and thanked him for receiving representatives of Chinese companies. Recently, representatives of a number of Chinese companies with considerable potential and reputation in the field of infrastructure visited Lebanon. This expresses the willingness of the Chinese side, both at the level of government or companies, to cooperate with the Lebanese side in the field of economic development for the mutual benefit of both countries. We hope to reach agreements soon. For his part, Premier Hariri welcomed the cooperation with China and the visit of Chinese companies to Lebanon."
