5.7-Magnitude Quake Shakes Parts of Indonesia’s Central Java

Jakarta, A earthquake has struck off Indonesia's Central Java province on Sunday afternoon, the country's climatology and geophysics agency said.

The magnitude-5.7 undersea quake hit at 432 pm (0932 GMT) at a depth of 10 kilometers, its center was about 88 kilometers south-west of the town of Cilacap, dpa reported.

The Indonesian climatology and geophysics agency (BMKG) did not issue any warning of a potential tsunami and there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
