The Lebanese Wushu Kung Fu sports mission returned to Beirut Sunday after partaking in the Mediterranean Championship in Marseilles in France and winning 14 medals.
Lebanon's Federation took part in the Free Fighting Style (Sanda) and Imaginary Fighting (Tawulu) with the Southern and Northern Free Fist (Shan Xuan and Nan Xuan).
Seven countries participated in the tournament, namely Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, Egypt, Lebanon and France. In the Sanda style, Lebanon won three gold, two silver and two bronze medals, while in the Tawulo style, which is considered one of the most difficult methods in martial arts, Lebanon reaped one gold, four silver and two bronze medals.
In the overall standings, Lebanon came out fourth while France topped the finals.
