Minister of Justice, Albert Serhan, on Friday said that political reasons were behind the fresh clashes in the Mount Lebanon region, adding that the judiciary intervenes after the fact.
"The causes of those incidents are of political nature and the judicial has no connection to them; we only tackle the aftermath of the incident," Serhan explained.
"The judiciary will look into this dossier and will make justice," he vowed.
"The role of the judiciary starts after investigations which take place under the supervision of the State Prosecution of Cassation," he said.
Serhan made these remarks during a tour in West and Central Bekaa.
