Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohammad Fneish, received this Monday his Iraqi counterpart, Ahmed Taleb, and an accompanying delegation on visit to Lebanon, with talks touching on strong ties between Lebanon and Iraq.
The meeting was aimed to exchange views on how to implement the cooperation agreement which was signed last year, minister Fneish said, stressing the need to restore Arab patriotism through commitment to Arab causes, and "to stand in the face of all attempts to deprive us from our rights, especially with regard to the Palestinian cause."
In turn, the Iraqi minister thanked the Lebanese people and government for their hospitality, saying "What was put forward is the restoration of the Arab Youth House. As per usual, Lebanon is a platform for culture, science and history, and also for Arab and Islamic causes."
